KidCare Administrative Coordinator

KidCare Administrative Coordinator oversees all aspects of the KidCare program, ensuring a safe, Christ-centered environment for children (birth–5th grade) while providing administrative leadership, team coordination, and support to help parents engage and grow through church programming.

Job Title: KidCare Administrative Coordinator
Supervisor: Life Groups/Women’s Pastor
Hours: Part time – 25 hours/week
FLSA Status: Hourly Employee, Non-Exempt

Summary:
The position of KidCare Administrative Coordinator at Pathway Community Church plays a vital role in the effectiveness of our Pathway Ministries programming. This individual oversees all aspects of our KidCare program with the purpose of providing a safe and loving environment, for children ages birth through 5th grade, so that parents may have the opportunity to connect and grow. The incumbent will
seek to use their personal gifts and skills for the benefit of the church by contributing to the overall effectiveness and efficiency of this ministry.

This individual must love God and people and have a vital, growing relationship with Jesus Christ. The ideal candidate will possess excellent verbal and communication skills along with having strong organizational abilities and flexibility. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Tasks are outlined by general work guidelines and/or policies with minimal supervision to perform the responsibilities assigned to this position. Other duties may be assigned as deemed necessary by the supervisor. A list of standard tasks anticipated include:
  • Recruit, screen, and train new team members and leaders
  • Work closely with the Safety and Security Director, Facilities Team, and Spiritual Formation team to maintain policy and procedure manuals
  • Track and report minor-employee information with the Indiana Department of Labor’s Youth Employment System
  • Coordinate KidCare team members schedules
  • Create and communicate vision to the KidCare Team that promotes value, growth, and mission for team members, parents, and kids
  • Demonstrate leadership abilities in which to develop a KidCare culture that is healthy, vibrant, and Christ-centered
  • Create and coordinate the encouragement, training, and coaching of all KidCare staff to align with PCC Leadership Development vision and efforts
  • Generate name tags and distribute t-shirts as needed
  • Review, approve, and submit childcare worker’s hours on a bi-weekly basis
  • Maintain and update KidCare records in our church database as needed
  • Generate check-in sheets for events
  • Create and coordinate curriculum to be used in each classroom to disciple kids in our care
  • Collaborate with department admins regarding event registrations and capacity
  • Create parent letters and update as needed
  • Field concerns from parents, staff, and team members and work in unity to come up with solutions

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This job has supervisory responsibilities of our PT3 team members and leaders and controls work
methods, tasks, and/or other activities assigned.

Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required; preference given to individuals with two to four years related experience in childcare and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
